About the event

Disclaimer: the accommodation is reserved, but no alignment on the details has been done yet. Details below are based on previous editions.

From 4 May 2026 to 11 May 2026 there will be a MiniDebconf in Hamburg. The venue is dock europe / fux in Altona.

Rough idea (details may change):

7 days of hacking together on Debian & FLOSS.
wifi inside and outside the venue.
lunch and dinner provided on site by Cantina.
daily stand up meetings after lunch during the weekdays
accommodation for about 30 people on site.
two hacklabs during the weekdays: a noisy and a (more) silent one.
DebConf on Sa/Su (depending on the amount of talks, we might squeeze the above into one day)
Maybe a daytrip instead

the event is aimed at around 77 people: around 30 can stay stay at dock europe and there’s hacking space of 143m², so eventually it gets crowded.

Important:

Registration is mandatory (contrary to the form, check-in/check-out is not possible before the 4th and after 11). Please also subscribe to the event mailinglist when registering for the event.
Finances aren’t arranged yet. We aim for free accommodation (= beds at the venue) for Debian & FLOSS contributors for those that need the support. We might need to request that those that can afford it pay for the cost.
